关于此行程
The Garden Route is South Africa's classic – and for good reason. This 750-kilometer coastal road connects Cape Town with Port Elizabeth through a landscape that earns a name like 'Garden Route': green forests, dramatic cliffs, golden beaches, and charming towns like Knysna and Plettenberg Bay. The route is well-developed, safe, and perfect for campervan newcomers. Along the way: hiking, whale watching in Hermanus, ostrich farms in Oudtshoorn, and the majestic Tsitsikamma National Park.

🦁Cape Town & Departure
No South Africa trip without Cape Town! Table Mountain, Robben Island, Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, and Stellenbosch wine estates – plan 3-4 days. Then via R44 (one of the most beautiful coastal roads in the world) toward Hermanus for whale watching (June-November).
🌊Knysna & Plettenberg
Knysna is the jewel of the Garden Route – the lagoon is breathtaking, the oysters legendary. The 'Knysna Heads' (rock formation at lagoon entrance) offer unique hikes. Plettenberg Bay is the favorite beach town with endless sandy beaches and seal colonies.
🌿Tsitsikamma Wilderness
Tsitsikamma National Park is the highlight: ancient forests reaching to the sea, suspension bridges over gorges, and the Mouth Trail to Storms River. Here also begins (or ends) the famous Otter Trail – one of the best multi-day hikes in the world.
