The Black Forest High Road (B500) runs from Baden-Baden to Freudenstadt. Winding, it spirals up to 1000 meters in altitude. Enjoy views of dense forests, Lake Mummelsee, and in good weather as far as the Vosges.

After a visit to elegant Baden-Baden, it goes steeply uphill to Bühlerhöhe. The view back into the Rhine Valley is magnificent.

At Mummelsee, the highest lake in the Black Forest, a break is mandatory. The Lothar Path impressively shows the power of nature after a storm.
🍰Freudenstadt & Cuckoo Clocks
The endpoint is Freudenstadt with Germany's largest marketplace. A detour to Triberg to the highest waterfalls and the world's largest cuckoo clock is worthwhile!
