The Region

The Region in Detail

Your comprehensive travel guide for camping Baku.

The Coastal Region around Baku 🏖️

The Absheron Peninsula, where Baku is located, offers a unique blend of desert landscape and the Caspian Sea. Here you will find both modern campsites and secluded bays for your very own adventure. Ideal for everyone who loves sun, beach, and sea.

Mobility & Arrival 🚌

A 4WD vehicle is advisable for some remote areas. Within Baku, Uber is a good option. Roads are mostly well-developed, but it can get bumpy off the main routes. Check in advance for any toll fees on certain stretches. Tip: Take the opportunity to ride the night train from Baku to other parts of the country – an unforgettable experience!

Gobustan National Park ⛰️

Leave the coast and dive into the prehistoric world of Gobustan National Park. Here you will find thousands of rock carvings that are up to 40,000 years old. An absolute must for history buffs! A guided tour is especially recommended to better understand the meaning of the carvings.
