About this Tour
Pura Vida! Costa Rica is Central America's greenest adventure. This route takes you from the mystical cloud forests of Monteverde via the surf beaches of Santa Teresa to the untamed wilderness of Corcovado National Park. Along the way: monkeys swinging across the road, hummingbirds in the garden, and the friendliest people in the world. Infrastructure is excellent for Central America, and although wild camping is officially prohibited, there are countless eco-camp sites in paradise settings.

🌿Monteverde & Arenal
The cloud forest of Monteverde is magical – orchids, quetzals, and hanging bridges above the treetops. Nearby towers Arenal Volcano, perfect for hot springs after hiking. The gravel roads to Monteverde are adventurous but manageable.
🦜Pacific Coast
Santa Teresa is Costa Rica's surf mecca – relaxed vibes, açaí bowls, and endless waves. Manuel Antonio National Park offers world-class wildlife watching: sloths, capuchin monkeys, and secluded coves.
🏄Corcovado Wilderness
The Osa Peninsula with Corcovado National Park is National Geographic's 'most biologically intense place on Earth'. All four monkey species of Costa Rica live here, plus tapirs, pumas, and countless bird species. Best accessed by boat from Drake Bay.

- ✓Rainy season (May-Nov) = greener, emptier, cheaper – only afternoon showers.
- ✓US Dollars are accepted everywhere, but you'll get Colón change back.
