North Chiloé: Culture & Traditions 🏘️

Northern Chiloé is characterized by its colorful wooden churches (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and lively traditions. Here you will find charming villages, traditional craftsmanship, and the famous 'palafitos' – houses on stilts. Ideal for culture lovers who want to immerse themselves in the island's history and customs.

Flexible on the road 🚐

Chiloé is best explored with your own vehicle or a rental car. The roads are mostly well-developed, but some sections can be bumpy. Especially with a campervan, you can flexibly visit the most beautiful spots. Remember: The ferry from Puerto Montt to Chiloé is a toll route. There are no tolls on the island itself.
