Route Overview
About this Tour
The western lake area is different. There are no National Park rules here, but more infrastructure and a famous island town: Malchow. The swing bridge opens several times a day, and you cruise directly through the old town. Spectacular. Lake Fleesen is the lake of golf resorts. Land Fleesensee is Germany's largest golf facility (5 courses!). Not your thing? No matter – the lake itself is beautiful, and the resort also has a spa (also for non-golfers). Lake Plau (Plauer See) is the second largest after the Müritz. The town of Plau has a lift bridge from the 19th century – a technical monument. And surrounding it: fishing villages, forest paths, tranquility. The connecting canals between the lakes are narrow and cozy. Just right for relaxed cruising. Hard Facts: No license required • Observe bridge opening times • Golf courses nearby • Best time: May-September • Wellness options in Fleesensee
